The newly refurbished bungalow is centrally heated and comprises 4 twin bedded rooms; there are four profiling beds ; one bedroom has a ceiling hoist. The property has a large lounge with a piano,TV and CD Player, dining room and adapted kitchen equipped with a double oven, grill, hob, fridge freezer, toaster, kettle, washing machine and microwave.
The main bathroom has a ceiling hoist and there is a seperate shower room. Both are fully accessible for wheelchair users. A wheeled shower chair is available if required.
For warmer evenings there is a large patio area or enjoy darts and table tennis in the games room.

Lounge 23’ x 15’, Dining room 12’ x11’, Kitchen 15’ x11’, Bedrooms – 3 at 13’ x 10’, 1 at 10’x 10’, bathroom and shower-room both at 10’ x 10’
The bungalow is on a private estate, approximately half a mile from shops and buses. The beach is five minutes walk away with an access ramp for wheelchairs. There is a colour television as well as a radio cassette, CD player and a piano – all of which you are welcome to use.
LINEN IS NOT SUPPLIED. You will need to take your own duvet covers, sheets, pillowcases, towels, tea cloths and tablecloths etc. There is a single duvet on each bed (and spares for the z-beds)and plenty of pillows if required. Please note duvets and pillows have waterproof covers.
Great care must be taken to ensure that the vital and expensive hoists are not misused in any way. It is emphasized that all equipment is used entirely at your own risk
Pets are welcome at an additional cost but prior arrangements must be made with the VASD Office at the time of booking. We would ask you to please make sure that they do not climb on the furniture.
Smoking is not permitted in the bungalow.
There is ample private parking space on the tarmac to the right of the bungalow. The Estate regulations do not allow parking on the patio, grass frontage or on the road outside. To avoid damage, do be aware of the roof overhang at the front of the bungalow if you have a van or tall vehicle.
Please contact VASD for availability and booking. A £100 Deposit will be required. Once your booking is confirmed the £100.00 deposit is non-refundable. We will confirm your booking and inform you of the date when the balance must be paid.
We regret that cancellations notified less than six weeks prior to the holiday will be invoiced in full unless we are able to re-let at short notice. We strongly recommend that all guests take out cancellation insurance, as refunds will only be offered under very exceptional circumstances.
Please note that £100.00 will be added to your invoice and is payable with the outstanding holidays fees. This deposit will be refunded at the end of each let subject to there being no damage to the property/contents.
Health & safety
Please note that this is a holiday home with adaptations. The radiators do not have covers on them and extra care should be taken when they are on. The kitchen is a normal household kitchen and again care should be taken when the oven or hob is being used. The bath and shower are both thermostatically controlled but please take care when using the bathroom and kitchen sinks as the water does get hot. As there is no telephone on site, we would advise that you take a mobile phone with you.
No extra charge is made for gas and electricity including heating.
The bungalow is available on a weekly basis but short breaks can be booked subject to availability.
Arrival & departure
The bungalow is available from 1500 hrs on the day of arrival (preferably Saturday – Saturday) and must be vacated by 1000 hrs on the day of departure. Should you arrive before 1500 hrs it will not be available for occupation.
The Voluntary Association for Surrey Disabled (“VASD”) Registered Charity No: 200490 will not be liable for any personal injury, loss or damage, direct or indirect, loss or damage to any property, including motor vehicles, motor cycles or the like, however caused, sustained by or occasional to any person (including persons under the age of 18). We suggest it is important that you do have a proper care plan for your circumstances.
Your kind co-operation in maintaining the bungalow in good order will be much appreciated. Please report any breakages or unsatisfactory equipment to the VASD offices and leave the bungalow in a clean and tidy condition. We regret that failure to comply will result in future bookings from those responsible being refused.
